Earning a commercial pilot certificate opens the door to paid flying and a professional aviation career.
Commercial training sessions begin at $70 per hour, and the aircraft rental (wet, fuel included) is $140 per hour.
If you plan to train in your own aircraft, it must first pass an inspection and be approved by an instructor.
FAA regulations require a minimum of 250 total flight hours across specific experience categories before you can take the commercial practical test. You may start lessons at any age, but you must be at least 18 years old to receive a commercial certificate. Click here to see the full requirements.
